SPH Presents: Concerts in the Chapel with Kevin Daniel, featuring Lorena Leigh!

Doors 6pm, Show 7pm

We are glad to welcome these two to Southside Preservation Hall for their first appearance with us. There will be a full bar available for this show, and a session afterward, so your instruments are welcome!

Nashville-based crooner Kevin Daniel heads down to Ft Worth to play Southside Preservation Hall with mermaid country queen Lorena Leigh.

A dynamic performer, playing 100-150 shows per year, Kevin Daniel’s music has been described as “radio and TV ready with enough darkness creeping in around the edges to appeal to fans of Jason Isbell & Langhorne Slim.” On his two early EPs, his 2019 debut album Things I Don’t See, and his 2021 follow-up, Been Here Before, Daniel showcases a masterful ability as a songwriter to seamlessly incorporate bits of rock, soul, country, blues, roots and Appalachia into thoughtful examination of pain and awakenings, visceral and spiritual. A big-voiced crooner with a heart of gold, Kevin strikes a chord with “his raw and soulful, Chris Stapleton-esque timbre.” [Music Connection] His latest release, ‘The Life & Adventures of Kevin Daniel’ is out now on Organic Records and already spinning on stations around the world.

"Cowgirl Mermaid" Lorena Leigh hails from the Lone Star State, a singer-songwriter / producer who weaves elements of Shania Twain's country charm, Maggie Rogers' indie-folk allure, Alanis Morissette's raw emotion, and Spice Girls energy into her music. Upbeat and soulful, her whimsical underwater rodeo and high-energy live performances have captivated a growing fanbase. Rooted in a childhood love for country music, Lorena's skills are enriched by years of professional dance training with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and being part of the NYC surf scene in her early twenties. Her influences give rise to catchy hooks, aquatic lyric narratives, and pedal-popped ukulele melodies laced with positivity.
