This artist has solidified his right to be in the top echelon of Texas singer-songwriters and we are happy to welcome him back to celebrate a new album! As usual, there will be a full bar available for your enjoyment, and a pickin' party after the show so instruments are welcome!
Singer-songwriter Nathan Hamilton is set to release his sixth studio album, "Not One Among Us," on October 11, 2024. This marks Hamilton's first full length release in over ten years and features an innovative collaboration with Osaka-based musician and producer Shotaro Miyamoto. "Not One Among Us" is yet another sonic shift for Hamilton who has always explored various musical styles and crossed genres. This latest release finds him exploring even further, bringing together elements of electronica, Japanese lo-fi chill hop, folk and rock while maintaining the visually detailed storytelling and emotional resonance that fans have come to expect from Hamilton's writing and vocal delivery. The innovative soundscape crafted by Miyamoto and mixed by Britton Beisenherz, complements Hamilton's poignant lyrics, intricate melodies and heartfelt performances, creating a unique and immersive listening experience. The album also features an impressive roster of guest musicians, including Kim Deschamps on pedal steel, Mark Williams on cello and bass and Jeremy Menking on electric guitars. Adding to the richness of the album are harmony vocals from Gina Chavez, Betty Soo, Amanda Leggett, and Nathan's own daughters, Lila and Helena Hamilton. The first single, "Broken Vessels," will be available on September 1, 2024. The song is a thoughtful and soaring reflection on those times we find ourselves in need of mending and how “Not One Among Us” is ever fully free of that need.
