SPH Presents: Concerts in the Chapel with Make the Yuletide Gay!
Doors 6pm, Show 7pm
What a fantastic show for the holiday season and we are delighted to welcome this group to Southside Preservation Hall for the first time! This will be a great time to take a break from all the holiday bustle and do something fun! There will be a full bar for your enjoyment and no doubt a pickin' party afterward, so bring those instruments.
Crys Matthews, the poster child for intersectionality and Flamy Grant, the "Bible Belt Baby" are teaming up once again to pick up where the Winter Magic Tour left off, and they're bringing some friends. This December, the Make the Yuletide Gay tour is hitting the road with Heather Mae to spread a little holiday cheer and a whole lot of faith-infused LGBTQ+ joy!
Armed with a bold lip and a blistering voice, Flamy Grant is brilliant, resilient proof that nothing is sacred (but everything is holy) and shame belongs in the closet. A preacher's kid and former drum major, troubadour of truth Crys Matthews is among the brightest stars of the new generation of social justice music-makers. With new releases under their belts, both Matthews and Grant are joining forces with three other artists who also use the arts to light up these dark times.
Resistance in the form of big, loud queer joy — that's Heather Mae. An award-winning artist-activist, Heather fearlessly writes with her ribcage exposed. With every lyric, Mae's raw vulnerability and electrifying sound create a profound connection, reminding her audience they are never alone.
