Concerts in the Chapel Presents: Kirstie Lynn, Galen Clark and Stefan Prigmore

Doors 6:00pm
Showtime 7:00pm

When Kirstie Lynn, Galen Clark, and Stefan Prigmore swap songs in the round at Southside Preservation Hall's Rose Chapel, the audience will be swept along the current of a folk pilgrimage. There will be stops along the journey for tall tales and old yarns, jokes and key changes, joy and sadness. This show is guaranteed to be emotive, heartbreaking, ebullient, and hilarious as they toss against rocky shores and glide along sand bars. Fans and newcomers alike will want to have a handkerchief available. Don't miss this opportunity to capture these craft masters at their best.

In 2021, classically trained soprano Kirstie Lynn Mosher graduated with a Master's Degree in music from Carnegie Mellon University. A couple of years before that, multi-instrumentalist Galen Clark was playing alternative midwestern string music and studying production and recording. In 2022, Kirstie Lynn and Galen collaborated on the singularly beautiful folk album Cindergarden. At once a departure from and a combination of what they were doing individually, Cindergarden is a stark yet natural progression to showcase these amazing talents. With acoustic guitars, banjo, fiddle, and original songwriting by both, the album is a journey through the past that emphasizes the present moment. Kirstie sings with the power of Joan Baez or Joni Mitchell, and Galen picks guitar like Neil Young, but they aren't looking backwards for influences. They are their own thing, and it's very special to hear and see. The folk music family has gathered Kirstie Lynn and Galen into their warm and cozy, well-deserved spot in the sun.

Singer/songwriter Stefan Prigmore has been hitting the streets for over 20 years to play at coffee shops, rock venues, house concerts, European tours, and listening rooms. From acoustic solo shows to full band electric rowdiness, Prigmore has done it all in the Fort Worth area. Nowadays we can find Prigmore in secluded East Texas, where he digs deeper into his past to write about healing, hard work, vulnerability, family dysfunction, and finding true love. Stefan Prigmore is a champion of fellow songwriters, and is always willing to share his hard-earned skills and experiences in the biz through production, promotion, recording, and booking other artists. Prigmore released his second full length album, Everything Is At Least Both, in November 2022. This third collaboration with producer and engineer Clay Parker gave Prigmore fans a wide range, from brand new songs to instrumentations and arrangements of old fan favorites.
